MultipleTap is a traveling festival striving to present worldwide chaos and radicalism of the underground Japanese music.

Color organ, amplified fluorescent tube, with no input signal mixer, video software glitches generator, laser … MultipleTap of guitar artists create their tools from scratch but are always open to dialogue, including with traditional instruments secular as shō and shamisen.

After the success of the first edition held in 2014 at Cafe Oto London MultipleTap returns for a special evening with incandescent margins of musical experimentation in Japan.

Steve Goodman, known as Kode9 (born 1973) is a Glasgow-born, London-based electronic music artist, DJ, and owner of the Hyperdub record label. An MC, The Spaceape, was a frequent collaborator. Initially inspired by what he calls the “hardcore continuum”, he also draws on dub reggae, and was one of the founding members of the early dubstep scene (which he views as a continuation of developments originally stemming from UK Hardcore). He appeared on the Grime compilation on Rephlex, and released two full-length albums: Memories of the Future and Black Sun (both featuring the Spaceape) on his own label Hyperdub. Kode9 has a Ph.D. in philosophy from the University of Warwick and has published a book, Sonic Warfare: Sound, Affect, and the Ecology of Fear.

Yousuke Fuyama was born in Nagano, Japan in 1983. Fuyama is currently a researcher at the Brain Machine Interface Department in Tokyo National University of Electro-Communication, focusing on the data conversion through various interfaces and programs. Fuyama won the first prize at Laptop Battles Tokyo Vol.4 (2008) and has been performing live concerts at several occasions and venues including Futura 2008 (France), International Festival for Arts and Media Yokohama 2009, DPG, Soundfollies, SonarSound Tokyo 2011 & 2012, EMAF Tokyo 2013 (Red Bull Music Academy), Sonic Acts 2013 (Netherlands), Seoul International Computer Music Festival 2013 (South-Korea), and OnSite 2013 (Taiwan). Isaac Cohen |
Isaac Cohen will present Enough, an exploration in interactive storytelling. Using the moniker ‘Cabbibo’, an homage to the late physicist Nicola Cabibbo, Isaac Cohen has published an eclectic array of works ranging from audiovisual fact-learning apps, interactive experiences made from recursive algorithms, to a real-time procedural music blogs where users traverse a universe of sound.

Michael Chang |

Michael Chang will be discussing Post-Cyberpunk, asking, “How has the world and the cities we inhabit changed, thirty years after Blade Runner, Ridley Scott’s vision of a dystopian future run by mega corporations?” Michael Chang explores these topics through his research while developing a city simulation.

Ian Heisters |

Ian Smith-Heisters will present past and in-progress projects that demonstrate the use of generative systems in choreography and interactive installation. He will discuss some of the issues he has encountered making generative, interactive dance, both conceptually and technically, and how he has approached those issues.

Yeh.jin & Creative JDEA is proud to present “Sound Art”

Date : 2015年09月4日 (Wed)

Time: 7:00pm -11:00pm
Ticket : $10.00

More Info:
The “Sound Art” exhibit is an interactive “listening” experience featuring diverse creative talents from local and international artists. The exhibition allows the viewer to experience ‘slow art’ in a fast paced world.

We live in an unprecedented age where the world has become a tight-knit global community, connected instantly together at ever increasing speeds. Social media has become a revolutionary part of this community and although our global society can communicate via our smartphones and tablets, we have created a generation that has in truth never been more removed in many ways.

Our diverse collaboration of artists, innovators, and creative pioneers presents unique sound art performances that will allow our community to take a step back, slow down, and appreciate life by taking a moment to simply listen and observe. It is our mission to capture the world, whether it be the natural beauty or at times the harsh reality that exists quietly all around us, beyond the gaze of our smartphones.
